Norman is posting here defending lava show ur face Norman.. Who cares if people buy gems or not. The problem is they lie.almost 7 months with the same stuff. I'm single I have money to spent on gems.but u guys have to understand. The kids play this game.they want to be able to decorated just like the people who buy gems. At least make some stuff were people can buy with coins..please team lava stop posting about ur updates. I can care less about valentines when I say new stuff I mean get rid of those ugly panels and floors..make us be able too move the door.so we can buy new doors. Give us challenge. To make receipts and earn coins or gems. To be able to save the food of friends and earn ex points or coins.etc..make it fun

I personally like the updates so disagree with you there, but hey, I happen to like your idea on moving the door. However, I'm not prepared to get mad at another player and call them names if they were to disagree.

I'm confused. There are a lot of items that can be bought for coins so I'm not sure your point. There are new recipes too. And the quests. You don't need gems for those. Some people think you do. I did to at first, but you don't.

I'm not saying this to be dismissive, but to be honest, non-paying customers are really only of value to Lave when it comes to their initial download of the game. The more downloads, the higher the game will be ranked in the app store (by the download criteria, of course). Those who are buying the gems are the ones supporting the game. At the risk of sounding cold, kowtowing and caving to non-paying player demands isn't in their best interest. And I say this as someone who hasn't purchased gems and probably won't. When updating, including items that appeal to the gems-buying player population is definitely in their best interest, as it keeps their customer base engaged and spending.

But it's the paying customers that keep the game going. Zynga brings in money thru in game purchases AND advertisement sponsors. Thats why theyre, for all intents and purposes, cheaper. You need to look deeper than the superficial appearance.

Personally, and I know others disagree which is fine, I rather this pricing scheme if it means NO ads. I personally detest ads in my game time as much as I detest telemarketers. That's why I don't play Zynga games anymore. (that and the graphics are terrible).

I'm still fairly new to the game but did this many people whine about needing gems for the xmas box? And about all the other items (like the sonic and forever stoves/mixers) that are a lot of gems? There's no need for all the whining and drama. Play the game or don't. Period.

Omg you have no idea. They whined at Halloween too. It's never ending. They scream about no weekly updates, then when we get updates, they cut it to shreds. Then when premium stuff is for gems and only basic new stuff is for coin they head into a frenzy. I used to try and reason with some now I just shrug and pass their posts by. I just don't understand these people. Not at all. I've downloaded many free or lite games. Played and found I didn't like, for one reason or another. So I just deleted. I didn't hunt down the developers boards to hound, demand, and just generally be nasty. I just deleted the game and was done with it. It's almost like these people have serious mental issues and just can't let anything go, or delusions of grandeur that a company should change for them.
Welcome to the games. The forums can have occasional good info, but mostly during the week when the mod works. The contests are good too. But if you come often you'll have to try to ignore the five (my guess) that are quite nasty in their negativity. I suspect one or more of this group is responsible for the porn because they want forum registration and think this is a way to manipulate to get their way. Just try to ignore them. And don't post your game name if u respond to them because they'll hound every post you make thereafter or accuse you of being staff. Bored juevinilles I guess.
Oh, and you might want to keep your kids off the forum if you have any.

As I posted in another thread, with the introduction of the new recipes as well as opportunities to earn free gems for downloading RS Vday, Farm Story VDay, and City Story VDay, TeamLava has provided opportunities to earn more than 20 free gems. That is enough to buy some of the new Valentine's decor - for free!
People complained about not enough opportunities to earn free gems - here they are. And yet, they are complaining still.

There are a lot of things for coin. What are you talking about?
There's also premium items and those who can afford will buy. That supports the game for all players, even ones playing for free.

Resembles life. Some can afford and have more or different things than others. Either luckier, or have better jobs. It's reality.

I earn $20.00 an hour and I can afford to buy gems but I dont. It is silly to buy virtual stuff with REAL MONEY. I could foster / sponsor a child from Africa with my real money instead of buying gems .. eg 24 gems for one item.
