I earn $20.00 an hour and I can afford to buy gems but I dont. It is silly to buy virtual stuff with REAL MONEY. I could foster / sponsor a child from Africa with my real money instead of buying gems .. eg 24 gems for one item.

People spend real money for virtual things all the time. Its called entertainment. Ever go to a movie theater? Or a sports game? Ever go to Vegas?

What everybody needs to understand is that each one of us has their own way of playing. We have different levels of tolerance, and different ideas about what we want from a game. Many community members are angry and frustrated, while many others really dont care or stress about it. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just accept that we are all different and are here to voice our different opinions, without being attacked by someone who doesn't agree?

I will be using my gems to purchase Valentines stuff. We were given plenty of opportunities to gain free gems before the update and I plan on decorating my bakery with them. The whole handing out free gems thing seems to happen just before big updates, and I feel that is TL's way of giving us a helping hand to purchase items that cost gems. I really dont understand why everyone is complaining about new items costing gems when we were given several opportunities to earn some.

I don't think is the gems at all I think the issue is to many gems for one item.hey I don't mind buying the red chairs for 1 gem good deal..I think some things are way to expensive like 18 gems for a flower vase.too much..just lower the price of gems on some items and I bet people will have enough gems and will stop complaining

So do you sponsor a child from Africa? Because I do (really, through Child Fund) but I also spent some money on gems!

I used to think it was silly to buy virtual stuff with real money until I started playing some of these games. Now I had fun doing it. So if I can afford it and that's how I choose to spend my money (that I'm not sending to Africa) why would it bother you?

What's it to you? If you are really a player then just shut up and play and continue to purchase the virtual random item at $5 a pop. No one tell you to stop. You can just move on without posting here.

Unless you have hidden agenda... I listed below some TL issues then you can list you you like about them... I think that's fair.

- never mind the free weekly updates, how about free monthly updates?
- slow or no responses from their support
- recent updates are 100% gem/city cash; not even 1 single game coin item
- well, the constant lies... Too many to list; just read the threads start by Norman
- release buggy games

Omg you have no idea. They whined at Halloween too. It's never ending. They scream about no weekly updates, then when we get updates, they cut it to shreds. Then when premium stuff is for gems and only basic new stuff is for coin they head into a frenzy. I used to try and reason with some now I just shrug and pass their posts by. I just don't understand these people. Not at all. I've downloaded many free or lite games. Played and found I didn't like, for one reason or another. So I just deleted. I didn't hunt down the developers boards to hound, demand, and just generally be nasty. I just deleted the game and was done with it. It's almost like these people have serious mental issues and just can't let anything go, or delusions of grandeur that a company should change for them.
Welcome to the games. The forums can have occasional good info, but mostly during the week when the mod works. The contests are good too. But if you come often you'll have to try to ignore the five (my guess) that are quite nasty in their negativity. I suspect one or more of this group is responsible for the porn because they want forum registration and think this is a way to manipulate to get their way. Just try to ignore them. And don't post your game name if u respond to them because they'll hound every post you make thereafter or accuse you of being staff. Bored juevinilles I guess.
Oh, and you might want to keep your kids off the forum if you have any.
